Some people are so insensitive.
Hubby's friends wife is so mean. She mocks people with MI and is very homophobic. We saw them yesterday. I was talking about my cousin's son who identifies as she now, and she started mocking them for being that way. The she started on mental health and how people just do it for attention.
(she does not know that I have a MI) Some people really just need to keep their opinions to themselves. Comes down to the old saying 'if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all'. Worse yet she just laughs and thinks it is a big joke.
Like I normally do, I just said nothing. I was getting upset and not one for confrontation at all.
Worse yet she said it in front of her son who is turning out just like her. D had heard her say things before and knows what she is like. I'm just glad my kids weren't around.
OK, rant over.
On a good note I got the food shopping done for xmas day and can avoid the shops now. All I have to do is pick up the prawns Sunday morning.

This makes me mad and sad for you @Snowie 😢
Also your husband's friend's wife who is so down and mean about MI and transgender issues! 😡
You asked when I normally take holidays...I don't ever take holidays. I have agoraphobia which means I don't feel safe being away from home for more then a few hours. I do however take a lot of time off work due to MH issues.
Haven't said much about myself. Think I am just not wanting to face things at the moment. If I don't say it out loud then it's not true.
Yes, I can understand 🫂
Anyway, I hope you have a good day today hon, sending lots of love
Thanks for your care...back atcha @Snowie 💙

Hi @NatureLover
I don't like being away from home either. I guess it is a secure place that we feel safe.
Is it that way for you?
I hope today is kind for you hon 💜💜

Yes, home is the only place I feel safe @Snowie .
You must really like the snow, to overcome your desire to stay at home! 🙂
Hoping today is also kind for you 💙

I can understand that @NatureLover I feel the safest at home too. Especially when we have our creature comforts there.
Going to the snow is enjoyable. I think because we have been going to the same place with the same people since the kids were little makes it a bit easier.
We are also going away with a group of friends this christmas. Very anxious about that.

I can understand you'd be very anxious about that, @Snowie . Your (lack of) eating and drinking for one. And also having to pretend you're fine the whole time 😥 I feel for you.
When are you going, and how many days for? Will you have WiFi so you can check in with us as to how you're doing?

We are away for about 2 weeks @NatureLover up on a river.
I will have my own space so will be able to 'escape' if I need too. The kids and hubby love it, so try really do it for them. I hope I can have some happy moments too.
Yes we should have internet so I can check in.
Is there anything you do for yourself over this period? I know you will still be working.

Aww, so happy you will have your own space to escape to @Snowie 🙂
2 weeks on a river in summer sounds very relaxing, I hope it really is. Will you take your unread books? Glad you will have internet 👍
My happy time is relaxing reading at home. However I really need to work on the house as I have a rental inspection around the end of January and it takes me weeks to sort out the hoarded stuff in the house. Luckily January is my favourite month of the year due to the sunshine.
