Yep I drive @tyme and we currently live maybe 200m from the schools back gate.
the issue is my mum doesn’t drive. So if I end up in hospital, getting D to school is tricky. Where we are now is perfect. D walks. My mum is getting on in age and has some chronic health conditions too.

Yeah, makes sense @Bow .
I really hope you find something soon.
Also, I read that you dread your psych appointments. Have you told her that? Also, I'm mindful you said you sorta can't do without them. What keeps you going to them?

Haven’t told her that I dread my appointments, but have told her that she doesn’t feel like a safe place @tyme
I keep going cause I feel like I have no real other options. It’s free. I can not afford to pay for therapy. I guess I go in the hope that maybe I’ll get something out of it. I wish there was some other choice at comm mh.

I'm soo sorry to hear that @Snowie . It sounds likea. very hard and dark time for you. Do you think ECT is something you need to look into at this time?

They run groups every day of the week @tyme cooking, music, sports and community outings. But I just go to arts and craft.
I’ve thought about ndis many times and a few people have suggested it to me. Ndis won’t cover psychology though, which is really annoying. I’d lose my current SW too and wouldn’t have access to all that support and groups.

Would you consider starting the process? @Bow
There are many people on the NDIS who access com MH. And with your SW, I'm sure there would be a transition period.. and look, that's if you even get NDIS.
I just hope that maybe starting the process now will mean it's less of a rush later if you really do need it.
It's only getting harder and harder to access.
Anyway, just a thought.
