Back from the vet. Cat's operation site is going okay - no need to drain anything else as it seems to now be a reaction to the sutures and will clear on it's own in time. She is not in any pain and there is no infection so that is good.

Spoke about her results with her normal vet and we need to do further tests to have some definitive answers. From what she has said it is a grey area between irritable bowel disease and lymphoma but that IBD often leads to lymphoma so she wants to run the additional tests to see exactly at what stage it is. That could very well mean it is better news than we expected and it can be treated. It also means that her life expectancy is not great but we have caught it early and that could be a good thing.

Certainly much better news than the impression I was given by the other vet last Friday. I won't know the results for a few more days but my vet will call me when she has them and we can discuss what to do next ....so the waiting continues but more hopeful I will have her around for a bit longer now.

@Snowie @Anastasia I am having a day outside with Tobes. Cat was out there too but came inside to her room - probably beause I was making too much noise with the saw. I have managed to cut down the 2 biggest branches on the tree that needed it - 2 smaller branches to go once I cut up the big branches into smaller pieces and load it all onto the trailer. Then I will need the ladder to get right into the corner and trim the creepers from next door. I am going to try to get it all done today then head out to do the shopping and chemist tonight. I was going to take Tobes to Bunnings for a trip but will leave that until Friday now. I have a dentist appointment in my parents' town (and Bunnings is on the way) so will drop Tobes off beforehand then take him to my sister's afterwards. After his operation tomorrow he may need that extra loving so won't leave him at home on his own.

@Snowie I know life is particularly hard for you again Hon but I am very much thinking of you. I really do hope there is some good in your day today

@Anastasia have had to take a break from the tree trimming as my little saw needs recharging so Tobes is laying flat out next to me, sound asleep ...all that supervising has worn him out lol
