Morning has broken

Had a bit of sleep @Eve7 and dozed all morning to catch up. Feeling very sore today and it is hot so just doing a little bit in the garage at a time then taking breaks and watching the cricket. Not going to get done what I wanted today but that is okay - I have time. Tobes has of course been in the garage with me so another reason not to spend much time in there - way too hot for my little munchkin to be in there. It is 34 degrees outsie atm so probably about 44 in the garage

That’s hot @Zoe7 it’s really humid here. I’ve done some washing, read 30 pages of my book, cleaned out 3 bedroom drawers as well as showered. I sat outside for an hour to get my vitamin D fix.

Trying to get inspired to clean out the fridge...

Just pulled apart my hose reel to see if I can fix it. The spring is too rusted and has a break in it. I am going to clean it all up and see if I can wind it tighter but I think it is cactus - so I think I now need a new hose reel and sprinkler  The sprinker I will get next week but might just have to wind the hose by hand for a couple of months - been doing that now for the last 6 months anyway.

Given up on the work in the garage for now - just too hot. Will wait until I feed the fur babies in an hour then try again.

That’s annoying about the hose reel. It’s always something.

Weve just had a dump of rain so that means I don’t have to water anything today.

Just watching the cricket with S1...who has fallen asleep haha

I am watching the cricket as well @Eve7 Looks like India might hang on today for a draw.

The temperature has dropped a little here now but the garage is still a furnace. I will open the garage door after I feed the fur babies to let the cool air circulate through. Cat will be happily asleep by then so won't venture through the garage.

I’ve just returned from my walk which was quite pleasant with a breeze, the sun and some rain.

It’s quiet here now as kids have gone out on the JetSki I told them not to go near the river mouth as I don’t want to see them on the news!!

We’re having a bbq tonight as S2 brought some steak with him.

Sounds like a fabulous day you have had and will continue on tonight @Eve7 These are the kind of days we need to hold onto Hon ...despite the cricket result lol Gotta take your hat off to India though - they have done an amazing job to get through to a draw.

I have finished cuttig all the pieces I needed to and cut out the bits that go in together. Have to wait until the glue dries on one then can put them all together - will do that tomorrow now. Have 2 pieces of timber to glue together also to make the base as I don't have any timber wide enough - will do that later when the others are glued as I have no more clamps. ....getting there 👍

Ive been on the couch for the past hour while the boys cook dinner.

I’m a bit cross as I told them not to take the JetSki out the river mouth to the ocean and they did grr.

Just got dinner organised her @Eve7 then going to head back outside. Expecting thunder storms tonight so need toclean a few things up.

Those naughty boys -but glad they are home safe.
