I wonder, it might be a big Q) but what is it about Nature that has that way with you, do you think?

I'm not sure...it might be the greenery, the space, the fact that plants are living things, the fact that trees are beautiful and provide our oxygen and shade...

Also - did you watch that show that was on abc this year called “Back to Nature”?
I found it so good esp when I couldn’t get out to walks for myself at that time.

No, I don't have a TV...what was it about? I'm sorry to hear you couldn't get out for walks, how awful. 😞

Wow, what a stunning spot @Shaz51! I can almost hear that water through the screen, the image conjures such a beautiful sense of peace.

Re: Nature as a healer

@Former-Member I love nature. I sit outside almost every day with a cup of coffee and listen to the birds and smell the sweet scent of the grass, trees and flowers. I'm unable to see it but my other senses pick it all up, and I wish I could stay in that cosy zone for absolutely ever. The outdoors helps me to escape from reality for just a little while.

Re: Nature as a healer

@Zoe7 thanks for the reminder! From reading this discussion, Toby much have loved his walks to the beach, I imagine? And I need my support network to take me to the beach more often. I love swimming in the ocean! Due to certain circumstances, I have to keep reminding people that I'm safe in most swimming situations most of the time, lol haha! I'm not afraid of water.

Re: Nature as a healer

I love the water ...and the beach @Former-Member Most of all I love seeing Toby's smiley, happy face when he is there - that alone brings me so much joy 🐶💖 Thinking of heading there tomorrow but will depend on energy levels as I have done a lot today.

Totally with you there, @NatureLover
As far as I'm concerned, nature fixes everything!

Re: Nature as a healer

@Shaz51 - OH MY!!
what an incredible place - my first thought is to wade in that river water, it looks so lush and tranquil. I can imagine the birds singing as you sit there near the rushing water 💓
So happy you have this photo that has captured such a beautiful spot.
My nervous system thanks you for being able to enjoy this from my home 😊

Re: Nature as a healer

Oh yes... life giving properties @NatureLover

"Back to Nature" I actually watched the show through the abc Iview on my laptop - if you are at all keen to check it out.

It was a visually stunning 8-part documentary series hosted by the actor Aaron Pedersen and a writer & artist Holly Ringland who visit various locations across AUS.
Each landscape significantly different + showing a lot of diversity that we have here in aus.
It has the most amazing footage - you feel like you are right there with them and I could relate on many levels to how they viewed having a relationship with nature.
I found it very inspiring & poetic.
